- For the development, maintenance, and support of company’s applications and databases
- Design and implement database instances, refine and automate regular processes, business report generation and issues tracking, etc.
- Liaise with users and/or external vendors to identify business requirements and resolve applications issues
- Monitor databases performance, implement changes, ensure data integrity, apply new patches and versions as and when required
- Create and manage system instances and handle the failover process during major incidents or regular tests
- Resolve software problems on different operating systems
- Study, analyse and participate in applications projects
The candidate must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) is preferred
- Proven working experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
- Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding
- Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, queries language
- Minimum 3 years of IT experience with insurance background is preferred
- Bahrain based candidates are preferred
