Mohamed Ismaeel has a deep understanding of indirect tax, having worked with both professional services firms and in industry across the region since 2016. As a tax SME with a ‘Big 4’ firm, he was involved in various VAT implementation projects in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. As a VAT specialist with leading organisations in Saudi Arabia, he has added value by identifying and implementing optimal solutions across a number of different industries. He has a particular focus on financial services, having worked as a VAT specialist in a leading Islamic bank in Saudi Arabia, and is currently advising on VAT optimisation for a number of regional financial institutions. A bilingual Bahraini (Arabic and English), Mohamed holds a BSc in economics from the University of the UAE, an advanced diploma in accounting and is currently studying for the advanced diploma in international tax (ADIT).
