Seeking a Risk Management Officer for a leading Financial Services company
The candidate is responsible to:
- Develop, maintain, and implement governance frameworks, standards, and practices relating to risk;
- Develop and implement processes to assess and/or monitor the effectiveness of risk governance frameworks / adherence to standards as appropriate;
- Developing and implementing testing and audit plans that address the risks identified;
- Assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management plans;
- Assist in updating and developing new divisions policies and procedures pertaining to risk management;
- Maintain coordination with all government, regulatory, and compliance documents;
- Conduct research on industry leading practices for risk governance matters pertaining to the Stock Exchange & Financial industry including board practices relating to risk governance;
- Follow up on the issues of the Division’s employees and work on enhancing their vocational performance and annual appraisal related to their work and behavior.
The candidate must have:
- Bachelors in Finance or equivalent relevant degree;
- Masters in a relevant subject or equivalent professional qualification is preferred;
- Certification in Risk Management (ARM), The Institutes; or International Diploma in Risk Management, Institute of Risk Management qualifications (IRM); or Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP); or Professional Risk Manager (PRM), Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (PRIMA)
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Risk Management
- Good communication skills in English and Arabic and interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand and effectively manage relationships within organization.
- Ability to persuade others to accomplish a particular agenda
