Assistant Manager - Application & Developments

Job responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee IT projects relating to applications and control the deployment of application patches/fixes/builds in test and production environments.
  • Manage licenses of the applications and databases as well as ensure full compliance with the licensing requirements.
  • Handle renewals of Service Level Agreements relating to applications.
  • Analyze and document business requirements and recommend IT solutions to improve operation efficiencies.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve applications and databases related issues.
  • Maintain and update application related manuals, applications and Databases at the Disaster Recovery Site.
  • Comply with IT department policies and procedures, IT Audit standards and handle all audit requirements relating to application and report any breach to the IT in charge.
  • Prepare monthly progress report of all tasks/projects relating to application.
  • Monitor and Control the security and performance of IT application.
  • Keeping up to date with technical, industry sector developments and new technology trends
  • Performs other related duties assigned by IT in charge.


Educational qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in information technology.

Experience required

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in supporting general insurance applications.
  • Expert in Oracle Database.
  • Involved in insurance core system implementation.
  • Project Management experience in system implementation.
  • Insurance and Reinsurance knowledge.

Competencies required
Excellent managerial and leadership skills.
